Mike and I drove home from High Point, NC on Wed., Sept. 28th – it was around an 8 hour drive. There was just enough time to wash clothes, see the grandchildren (and their parents), get the paper work into the office at AiG, and then go to the airport on Thursday afternoon for a flight to St Louis, MO. Then we drove 2 hours to Springfield, IL where Mike taught on Friday morning to a group of about 400 Lutheran teachers. Thanks so much to Roger Sprengle for all the work he did to arrange for Mike to be at the conference. I was so busy at the book table that I did not have time to take any pictures of the conference – I didn’t even think about it until Saturday morning. So I took some pictures as we walked around the very historic downtown of Springfield. We need to return sometime when we have time to go through the Lincoln museum and the Korean War Museum and take a guided tour of the old Capitol building where Abe Lincoln served as a state representative before he became the President.
