About CTI

CTI Mission

To equip Christians with the knowledge and skills in biblical apologetics, creation, and educational methods, so that they, in turn, can equip the next generation to stand firm in their faith.

2 Timothy 2:2

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful people who will be able to teach others also.

Matthew 28:19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

CTI Vision

To have knowledgeable and skilled teachers in Bible-believing churches and Christian schools across America who can teach biblical creation, apologetics, and evangelism.

CTI Strategy

  • Develop a team of master teachers in biblical apologetics, creation/evolution, evangelism, and Christian education.
  • Develop application-level, learner-focused training courses, so that attendees will know the information presented and be able to apply it in discussions with believers and when challenged by non-believers about the truth of God’s Word.
  • Develop a two-method approach to training.
    • Customer location, classroom-style training with training manuals
    • Distance learning using various forms of multimedia
  • Develop a certification program in apologetics so that successful graduates will be qualified to teach in their home, church, Christian school, and undergraduate classes in Christian universities

What We Believe

Our Doctrinal Statement at Creation Training Initiative outlines the core beliefs and principles that guide our mission and teachings. This statement is foundational to our work, ensuring that all activities align with biblical truths. Our Statement affirms the Bible’s inerrancy and authority in all matters of faith and practice.

Holy Scriptures

We believe the Bible is God’s written revelation to man, and thus the 66 books of the Bible given to us by the Holy Spirit constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God (1 Corinthians 2:7-14; 2 Peter 1:20-21). We believe that all Scripture is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3:16) and is truth (John 17:17).

Creation

We teach the literal, grammatical, and historical interpretation of Scripture, which affirms the belief that the opening chapters of Genesis present creation in six literal, 24-hour days (Genesis 1:31; Exodus 31:17) and that God’s judgment in the days of Noah was a worldwide flood destroying all land creatures except those on the Ark. We further believe that the worldwide flood is responsible for most of the sedimentary layers found worldwide. We further believe that Scripture teaches a recent creation of the Universe and everything in it, about 6,000 years ago and that God declared His creation “very good” in Genesis 1:31. Based on His perfect creation, there was no death before sin.

Sin was brought into the world when Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s command not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Because of this disobedience (sin), God cursed all of creation (The Fall). Because of the Fall, death entered into God’s creation.

We deny any teachings that the Earth is millions or billions of years old because they all incorporate death before sin (Romans 5:12):

  • Day-age theory
  • Gap theory
  • Progressive creationism
  • Genesis is poetic and not to be read as real history
  • Or any other teaching that endorses long ages

While the creation account is not directly related to salvation, it is foundational for understanding the Gospel.

God

We believe that there is but one living and true God (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5-7; 1 Corinthians 8:4), an infinite, all-knowing Spirit (John 4:24), perfect in all His attributes, one in essence, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14), each equally deserving worship and obedience. We believe the Word of God is an objective, propositional revelation (1 Thessalonians 2:13; 1 Corinthians 2:13), verbally inspired in every word (2 Timothy 3:16), absolutely inerrant in the original documents, infallible, and God-breathed.
