Greenwood, SC

We flew to Greenville, SC on Friday, 11/11/11 and then drove to Greenwood, SC to get a good night of rest before the Christian Teacher Training on Saturday morning at Calvary Baptist. We had a wonderful group of Sunday School teachers and a professor from North Greenville University. This was our last CTT for 2011 and number 32 since we started. Thanks so much to Pastor Derrick and Pastor Kevin for all the planning and work they did to make it a success. Our next CTT is in Leeds, AL on January 28. We will have a few weeks to regroup and enjoy being at home before our next trip.

After the Teacher Training we started a four day Creation Conference at Calvary Baptist. We appreciated the opportunity to have six different times to equip the saints in this great church. Mike spoke on Dinosaurs, Discernment, Did God use Evolution?,  the Gap Theory, the Flood, Understanding Dating Methods, Why Believe the Bible and not other religions, Probability of Evolution, the Big Bang, Aliens and UFOs and several other topics. We pray that the information will be used over and over for the glory of our Creator.

Mike also had two opportunities to speak to students. On Monday, 11/14, we drove to North Greenville University where he spoke to two Biology classes. We were invited by Professor Marlena Pinner. We also had lunch with Dr. John Strange and were blessed when he told us that he had seen Mike several years ago in Asheville, NC and has been showing his classes the Creation/Evolution: Does it Matter DVD every year. Thanks to both Marlena and John. Then on Wednesday we drove to Saluda, SC where Mike got to speak to five high school classes at Kings Academy. One of the math teachers had come to Calvary Baptist and invited Mike. We always treasure the opportunity to speak to youth. What a great event to end our ministry travels for 2011.
