In this final session Mike gives powerful evidence for the truthfulness of the Bible. The combination of evidences (manuscript, history, archaeology, prophecy, and science) leaves no doubt that the Bible is God breathed and all of it is good for teaching (2 Timothy 3:16). In this session, Mike interviews a former high school biology and chemistry teacher (Roger Patterson). Roger describes how he taught evolution to students in public high school for eight years and then found out the truth. By doing his own research he discovered that evolution was not supported by true science, but was just a worldview (belief). Roger describes how he was taught evolution in the university and that students were told not to challenge what was taught. Roger now works full time for Answers in Genesis as a curriculum developer and online education assistant. Many people believe that evolution really happened and that life originated by purely naturalistic means and humans evolved over millions of years from some ape-like creature. Why can’t all Christians and churches get along? Why is there so much disunity between Christians and churches?
The Bible never says we should come together just on the issues we agree on. The Bible never states we should only teach the parts we like and not the parts that are controversial. The Bible does teach that we should keep the truth. A church can’t just make up its own rules (doctrines) to establish unity. Unity must be found in the truth of God’s Word. There is nothing in God’s Word that is divisive. God’s Word does not create disunity. It happens when people don’t believe the plain reading of His Word and begin reinterpreting it or watering it down (for example: millions of years, Genesis is not real history, the gap theory, no such place as hell, works based,…).

You are in a house that is burning. Inside is a dog, a valuable painting and another human being. If you could only save one, which would it be? Not everyone has the same answer to this situation. It depends on our worldview (starting point) and how we value human life. If our worldview starts with evolution, then human life is no more valuable than a dog’s life. However, if we begin with the fact that we were created in the image and likeness of God, then human life has a higher value.
