We flew to Knoxville, TN on Saturday, August 10th and then drove about an hour to Crossville, TN. There was a sign on I40 that said “You are now entering the Central Time Zone”. We were surprised but happy that we had just gained an hour in our day. However, on the trip back to the airport on Tuesday morning, we had had such a wonderful time all weekend that we failed to remember the sign about the time change. And yes, the time changed at the same spot on the highway and we realized we had just lost an hour! That is not good when one is on the way to catch a plane. We would have definitely missed our flight if not for the fact that our flight was almost 2 hours late. It does make for good memories though.
Mike spoke on Aug. 11 at Lantana Road Baptist Church in Crossville, TN for Sunday School and Sunday morning services and then again Sunday evening. They had an AiG conference there in the last couple of years so it was like preaching to the choir. On Monday he was invited to speak to a group of pastors from the Crossville area and then he spoke at two sessions in the evening. Tuesday we flew from Knoxville (after we finally got to the airport) to Atlanta and then on to Dallas, TX.
On Wednesday morning we went to Grace Preparatory Academy in Arlington, TX where Mike taught 40 teachers the all day Basic Creation Training class. They each got an ASCI approved Continuing Education Unit. We think this is the best place to have a class like this. We pray that each teacher will be able to better teach their students about our Creator.
